Are You Ready

Specifically chosen to start the Gene Simmons Vault, this anthemic cast off was recorded with Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer. While Gene has suggested that it was omitted from a KISS album in favor of the likes of songs like "Psycho Circus" and "I Pledge Allegiance to the State of Rock and Roll," it more likely dates from the "Sonic Boom" / "Monster" era. It was mentioned at that time for possible inclusion on the latter album; as a rewrite of an earlier song with the same title. Initially, the song was used as the primary sample used to promote the Vault and was available as a digital download as part of purchaser's Vault pre-packs. This song was first performed live by the Gene Simmons Band on Feb. 16, 2018 at the Lynn Auditorium in Lynn, MA. During the song's intro, Gene suggested that it had been written in 1999.
