Wall of Sound

The guts of this song was spontaneously written in the studio in around 40 minutes (Classic Rock), though what was initially considered a working-title has stuck. It was one of the first songs to be publicly mentioned in December 2011. A band effort with Tommy bringing in the core riff, Paul constructing the melody and lyric, and Gene fine-tuning and seasoning the work the song combined many of the band's influences. The "Wall of Sound" is inspired by the biblical "Walls of Jericho" which were brought down by the blaring of the Israelite's trumpets (Joshua 6:20 NKJV) rather than anything to do with Phil Spector.
